we really enjoyed this place. all in all everything was great, had a good stay for 2 nights. the breakfast was perfect with outstandingly accommodating personnel. the venue was in a very central location close to christchurch in fendalton and later st albans.

The breakfast was perfect, with a lot of food options. The location was stunning, a 10-15 minute walk from Tram. The staff was fairly friendly, we got their full attention...

I like staying at the YMCA primarily because of its location.. I used to be a student when the University was at the Arts Centre, and like like to go back there. Also to walk in th gardens. It is an excellent value of money deal.

The location
The cleanliness was awful. There was blood on the sheet and on the towels it was disgusting. Not only that but the bathroom facilities were so awful that the towel did not flush.

handy to conference location, cheap and cheerful but safe and quiet. Was only there to sleep virtually so met my needs for a quick trip to chrsitchurch. Taxi much cheaper if you book at reception to go to the airport or prebook before the visit - a great service - only $25 out versus the $55 i paid coming in from another company!! Would not have thought to stay here but someone at work said The CHCH YMCA was very good and was cheaper than hotels closer to the venue
Sharing the bathroom with others but i knew that before i booked. Was disappointed there was not a shower in the bathroom beside my room

As budget type accommodation it is excellent, superb shower and the location close to CBD is excellent.
For our purposes it was excellent.

Perfect spot for exploring
The place is super close to bars and restaurants and I loved chilling next to the Botanical Gardens. The room was clean and comfy, and I enjoyed grabbing a drink at the bar. Just a bit noisy sometimes with people coming and going, but overall a solid choice.

The room was comfortable and clean and it was nice being close to Hagley park as well as the Art centre. The airport bus was only just around the corner. Good value
